Learn about our three summer service trips.
In 2007, a group of educators responded to the devastation left by Hurricane Katrina by assembling a team of volunteers to assist in the reopening of a public school. Since our first trip, we have grown to build connections with different schools all over the nation. PIES remains committed to serving populations residing in disadvantaged communities, in particular, those affected by natural causes.
Volunteers share their experiences.
PIES supports educators working in disadvantaged communities through service-learning partnerships.
We bring teams of volunteers, from higher education and the public sector, to work with teachers who are dedicated to the growth and development of young children.
